Plescia Construction & Development completed a 5,000 square foot fast track commercial interior fit out for Amazon Books at Willowbrook Mall in Wayne, New Jersey. Located within one of Northern New Jersey’s busiest retail centers, this project required precise coordination, accelerated scheduling, and strict adherence to mall construction standards.
Delivered under a fast track schedule, the project involved the full interior buildout of a new retail store from base building conditions through final finishes. The new sales area layout was thoughtfully constructed to support Amazon Books’ unique merchandising strategy, incorporating collaborative display locations and flexible fixture arrangements to enhance customer engagement and traffic flow.
The scope also included the construction of back of house storage areas and management offices designed to support daily retail operations efficiently. Each space was built with careful attention to functionality, accessibility, and integration with the overall store layout.
A complete mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and sprinkler infrastructure installation was performed to support the new store configuration. These systems were carefully coordinated to meet current code requirements while accommodating lighting design, power distribution, data needs, and HVAC performance for a high traffic retail environment.
Custom casework and millwork were installed throughout the sales floor and operational areas, reinforcing the brand’s clean and modern aesthetic. The project also included a new storefront installation, enhancing visibility and creating a strong presence within Willowbrook Mall.
